Winter is in no way inferior to summer in terms of variety and holiday options. Convenience: you can always see the close ski area of Nassfeld from nawu’s terrace. The ski bus stops right outside our door and conveniently takes you there and back in minutes. That extra touch: our ski room with boot dryers ensures that your ski boots are at a nice temperature in the morning.

Not a fan of skiing? No problem! Valley Gailtal has a lot more to offer when it comes to winter. Like ice skating on the world-famous Lake Weissensee, for example, which turns into Europe’s largest natural ice surface at 6.5 km². Or all kinds of ski tours – from beginner to challenging! How about a toboggan ride? Our snow-covered toboggan run is even guaranteed! You can go winter hiking or snowshoeing from our front door. And, of course, build snow-people, have a snowball fight, build an igloo and much, much more. Our motto? You are right in the middle of winter joy with us, instead of just being near it.

Carinthia’s largest ski area is only 5 km away. From nawu apartments you have a good view of Millenium Express, the gondola lift from the valley to the mountain. The ski bus stops right infront of the nawu ski cellar and takes you directly to the entrance of the valley station. You can also easily reach the free car park in Tröpolach by car. Directly at the valley station there is rental for equipment, a sports shop, and ski schools. This saves you time-consuming journeys. As a nawu guest, you will even get discounts there. You can buy the ski pass directly at a reduced price at nawu, so you don’t have to line up at the lift ticket office. The winter sports equipment can also be set up overnight directly at the station.

Nassfeld is a magnificent ski area. Over 100 km of slopes offer a lot of variety. From easy beginner slopes to challenging and freeride areas, it offers everything your heart desires. The fact that we have been proven for having the most hours of sunshine in Austria is another beautiful holiday motif.

To the winter sports

Ski pass prices 2024 / 25

The entrance to the ski arena starts right at nawu. Either comfortably by public ski bus, or by private car to Millenium Express gondola lift about 4 km away. There are plenty of free parking spaces at the valley station. There you will also find a rental station, ski school, sports shop and ski service.

Discounted ski passes can be purchased directly at nawu. This saves you from lining up at the lift ticket office. As our guest, you will also receive discounts at ski schools, rental and ski services. A tip: There is a good ski service station on the mountain that takes care of your equipment cheaply and swiftly.

At nawu Apartments we have a heated ski cellar with ski boot dryer for you. Another option are lockers directly in the ski area, so you can jet lightly between the nawu and the slopes.
