The Gailtal Valley – a real natural wonder

So close and yet so south. Even though everyone talks about Carinthia as a holiday destination, the Gailtal Valley and the Lesachtal Valley are still real hidden gems. Bathing fun in the warm Lake Pressegger See, hiking and adventure holidays in the Gailtal Valley and the Carnic Valley, deep gorges, wild and very calm water, a summer toboggan run, climbing garden, cycle paths, boat trips and awarded the first Slow Food Travel Destination globally – you can only find all of this in the Carinthian Gailtal Valley.

You’re in luck – it’s all so close

The nawu apartments are right in the thick of it! About halfway from Villach to Kötschach-Mauthen in the Hermagor-Pressegger See region, the apartments are perched high on the Gailtal Alps meadows and forest-covered slopes. With breathtaking views towards the south across the valley to the majestic mountain peaks on the Italian border. The only thing that’s far away here is the hustle and bustle of everyday life – it actually only takes about 40 minutes to get to Villach by car. From Italy or Slovenia, it’s even faster. It takes less than ten minutes to go skiing and hiking, and to get to the warm Lake Pressegger See. Plenty of sun from morning to night, in summer and winter and the most beautiful destinations right outside – well, do you fancy a holiday?
